From Groundbreaking to Move-In

At Nexbuild, we believe building your new home should feel exciting, not overwhelming. To help you know what to expect, here’s a breakdown of the typical construction process for one of our established home models.

  Pre-Construction  

• Finalize home model and lot selection
• Sign purchase agreement and contract
• Secure financing and apply building permits
• Lot preparation (surveying, soil testing, and well permits)  

• Lot is cleared, leveled, and staked out
• Footings and foundation are poured  
• Foundation inspection completed  

• Home’s frame (walls, roof, floors) is built
• Windows and exterior doors installed
• Roofing materials applied
• “Dry-in” stage: home is weatherproofed  

• Electrical wiring, plumbing lines, and HVAC ductwork installed
• Insulation placed throughout the home

• Drywall hung, finished, and painted
• Exterior stucco completed
• Cabinets, countertops, and trim installed
• Flooring (tile, carpet, wood, etc.) completed
• Interior doors, lighting, and fixtures added  

• Landscaping completed 
• Appliances installed
• Final touch-ups and cleaning performed 

• Final inspection and CO from County
• Keys handed over — welcome to your new home!
